UFU boss issues warning to Andrews government as pay demands heat up
Union boss Peter Marshall says the Andrews government has “failed to invest” in firefighter safety, calling on Victorians to make the state government “accountable” on election day.
Speaking on 3AW, the United Firefighters Union secretary said the government had “rejected” requests for new trucks and trench rescue equipment.
“I hope your listeners make this government accountable on election day, because they’ve failed to invest in that equipment,” Mr Marshall told Tom Elliott.
