Ukrainian Ambassador reaches out to Penny Wong twice as Russia intensify attacks

Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia has written directly to Penny Wong requesting enough coal to meet their needs in the ongoing war with Russia.

Ukraine Ambassador to Australia, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, says it’s the second letter he’s written to the foreign minister.

“We’ve seen intensified attacks [since 2022] of Russia at our energy distribution, and electricity. And a lot of that has been destroyed, we have … estimated 50 per cent of our energy system has been knocked out,” he told Ross and Russ.
