‘Unacceptable’: passengers left stranded on train tracks

A caller Sarah was on a carriage that separated from its train on Saturday, leaving passengers stuck between Aspendale station and Mordialloc station for almost three hours.

She says her and the other passengers received minimal updates about what was happening until the carriage was eventually towed.

“It was the kids first train ride… unfortunately I can’t say yet, but I don’t think I’ll be going on public transport anytime soon,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
