Why the unions shut down the CBD

Tens of thousands of protesters descended on the CBD on Tuesday to rally for better pay and conditions.

They marched as part of the “Change The Rules” campaign.

Neil Mitchell had ACTU secretary Sally McManus in studio ahead of the rally, where he asked her what it would achieve.

“We’re sending a message straight to Scott Morrison and the federal government and the reason is because they’re the ones who can do something about it,” she said.
