Union says strike action won’t impact COVID-19 vaccine delivery
Union officials have assured Australians essential goods, including COVID-19 vaccines, won’t be impacted by strike action from delivery drivers.
2000 StarTrack employees walked off the job at midnight.
Transport Workers’ Union national secretary Michael Kaine said emergency goods would be delivered on schedule.
“The TWU has always done that, no matter what the industrial action is,” he said.
“We have always delivered emergency goods and the same will be true today.
“We will continue to deliver vaccines.”
