Unions push for permanent work-from-home rights
Multiple unions will push for work-from-home rights to be enshrined in their next enterprise agreements, a move supported by the ACTU.
Liam O’Brien is assistant secretary at the Australian Council of Trade Unions and told Neil Mitchell it was undoubtedly a legacy of the COVID pandemic.
He said benefits for many workers and employers had emerged over the past couple of years.
“I don’t think anybody is saying it’s one or the other – it’s the flexibility,” he said.
