University of Florida research confirms tomatoes are best out of the fridge

Research out of the US has confirmed what many of us have long suspected, tomatoes are best kept out of the fridge at room temperature.

University of Florida researchers discovered chilling tomatoes robs them of their natural flavours.

‘What we found is if put them in the fridge they lose their aroma compounds,’ Assistant Professor Denis Tieman told Ross and John.
