University ‘slave labour’ internship conditions slammed by concerned parent

A parent of a university student is unhappy with the culture of unpaid internships in the workplace.

Yvonne’s son is studying marketing and is seeking an internship, but may even need to pay to be afforded the internship opportunity if he registers with a job agency.

“He has to pay them for the privilege of maybe getting a job,” she told 3AW Mornings.
