Unlucky driver left in prickly mess after road spikes fell from police car at Fawkner

RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Officers accidentally left left road spikes on the roof of their car, which fell off and an unlucky driver was caught in the mess.

3AW Breakfast is told members from Fawkner Highway Patrol were exiting the police complex on Thursday, when a “tyre deflation device” fell from the vehicle after it was accidentally left on the roof.

The officers immediately attempted to retrieve the device, however, a member of the public drove over the it causing damage to two tyres.

Police are investigating the incident and the member of the public will be compensated for the damage.

Well, that wasn’t very sharp of them!
