Unmanned truck crashes into childcare centre at Ferntree Gully

A truck has rolled hundreds of metres down the Burwood Highway, slamming into a childcare centre at Ferntree Gully.

It’s believed the driver was loading vehicles onto a trailer at a car dealership, when the truck started rolling towards Scoresby Road.

Listener Neil saw the chaos unfold told Neil Mitchell it plunged some 300 metres.

‘The truck had just taken off down the road!’

‘I think he was just loading vehicles and then something happened.’

No one is believed to be injured, it’s understood the children were asleep inside.
