Unsettling incident in Williamstown as a stranger approaches an 11-year-old boy

A Williamstown family has been left shaken after an unsettling incident over the weekend.

Melanie Kern has told Neil Mitchell her son was approached by a stranger who drove a white van.

“He came onto the property and was within a metre of my son,” Ms Kern said on Monday.

“As soon as my son told him his dad was at the car, the man quickly left.”

Ms Kern said they have filed a police report.

“But they can’t really do anything unless something happens,” she said.

Neil said the whole situation sounds “really suspicious”.
