Developers who are planning on high-rise buildings along the Frankston foreshore have been given the green light to go ahead with the project, angering many in the community.

This comes after the planning minister Sonya Kilkenny overruled the decision made in July, which prevented buildings being more than three storeys.

Great Wall of Frankston campaigner and secretary of the Port Phillip Conservation Council, Jenny Warfe, says people on the beach will be overlooked and overshadowed by the 12 storey buildings.
