Upset mum starts petition over scene in kids film

A Dandenong mother has started a petition against Sony and the new Peter Rabbit film over a scene where the characters target another with an allergy to berries.

Aloma Davis is behind the petition, her son Laurie has a food allergy.

She spoke with Tom Elliott on Friday.

“I’m just a bit worried that kids might absorb the message that it’s OK to actually do this to another kid they know that has allergies and that it’s just a bit of fun,” she explained.

“It’s not a bit of fun. It’s a life-threatening allergy.”
