US tourism officials go to lengths to portray ‘acceptance and diversity’
Many people are reconsidering plans to travel to the United States due to recent events.
But it has come to light US tourism officials have travelled to Australia to portray the States as accepting.
Justin Jamieson, editor of Get Lost magazine, recently returned from a trip to America.
He said the problems at airports have definitely calmed down.
‘We had no problems going in and out and didn’t see anything,’ he told Ross and John.
‘You are going to have the odd person who is going to get pulled up.’
With the drop in tourism and hesitation of many to travel to the States, Justin says there is no better time to head over.
‘At the moment it is a perfect time to fly over when it comes to flight costs and the dollar is strong.’
