Usman Khawaja says it’s no contest when it comes to Test cricket or T20

Usman Khawaja says it’s still no contest when it comes to playing Test cricket or Twenty20 – he’s picking the baggy green every time.

Questions have been raised about an ever-congested cricket schedule and players being forced to choose between their country or the riches of the short game.

But Khawaja, one of the stars of the Big Bash League, said he’d always choose Test cricket when given the option.

‘I’d pick the test team every day of the year,’ he told 3AW’s Sports Today.

‘I think anybody would tell you that.

‘You just can’t compare it.

‘It’s still the pinnacle.’
