V/Line services cancelled as more than 100 drivers forced into isolation
Some V/Line services have been cancelled after a positive COVID-19 case within their workforce sent many train drivers into isolation.
A worker has tested positive, forcing 110 drivers into isolation.
Due to the amount of drivers impacted, several V/Line services are unable to operate to normal timetable today.
Coaches will replace all trains on the Warnambool, Swan Hill and Bairnsdale lines for part of the journey.
Coaches will replace trains on the Albury line for the entire journey.
Select trains will run on other lines and buses will shuttle passengers between regions and outer metropolitan stations to connect with Metro services.
The Department of Transport admits in some cases the fastest option for passengers will be to wait and catch the next train that comes along.
