Vegan activists angered after Yarra Trams blocks ads

Vegan activists have been left angry after an ad campaign was stopped at the last minute by Yarra Trams.

The advertisements, pictured above, would have shown several pictures of animals and asked viewers to think about what they were eating.

Yarra Trams says the ads breached their guidelines.

Tom Elliott said that was nonsense.

“I’m with the vegans,” he said.

“If you eat meat – you should have some idea where it comes from and it does come from animals.”

He spoke with Laura Weyman-Jones, from PETA, about the campaign.
