Vegan pie from ‘Ka Pies’ in Sunshine takes home silver in red meat category

Surprising win for a Sunshine pie shop, their vegan pie taking home second place in the ‘Red Meat’ category. 

‘Ka Pies’ have taken out silver in the 27th annual Great Aussie Pie competition, but they thought it was a glitch!

Adrian Apswoude, Director at Ka Pies in Sunshine spoke with Nick McCallum.

‘I guess the judges didn’t pick up on it, and reclassified it in the red meat section and given it a silver medal!’ – Adrian told 3AW Drive.
