Ventnor saga: Labor calls for Matthew Guy to resign and pay back $3.5 million
The saga around the Opposition Leader’s record as planning minister continues, with the Deputy Premier James Merlino moving a censure motion against Matthew Guy.
It comes after the government released 80,000 documents, around a $3.5 million settlement over the reversal of a decision to rezone farming land at Ventnor for housing.
“I think the public is sick of all of this,” Mr Guy told Neil Mitchell.
“Seven years ago, to the best I can remember, the discussions I had were pretty clear, that if you lost a court case, it was cost you a hell of a lot more than if you settled it out of court.”

“The Premier must do the same to maintain credibility.
“He won’t do it with me but if it’s good enough for Matthew Guy, he should front it too.
“Do it somewhere, whether it’s Tom or the ABC, it’s just fair and right.”
