‘Very dangerous’ thunderstorm lashes Melbourne’s east

A “very dangerous” thunderstorm lashed parts of Melbourne’s east on Friday night.

It was enough to prompt an official emergency warning.

Residents in Croydon and Lilydale were advised to seek cover as hail and heavy rain hit the area.

The warning has since been downgraded, but residents are being told to remain vigilant for possible flooding.
