A senior Andrews Government minister has been involved in a fight at state parliament.

The clash erupted between Tourism Minister John Eren and Labor factional power broker Adem Somyurek.

So serious was the altercation, Labor has scrambled an emergency meeting.

Mr Eren has told colleagues Mr Somyurek intimidated and threatened him at Parliament’s members-only Strangers cafe on Wednesday night.

Mr Eren is understood to have been badly shaken by the incident.

The Premier’s office has been informed.

Adem Somyurek denies there was any altercation, just a robust discussion-the two MPs are believed to have been speaking in Turkish.
