A new AI model called ‘Mythos’ is being kept secret from the public after its creators found it is capable of autonomously hacking software.

Leading researcher in artificial intelligence at the University of NSW, Professor Toby Walsh, says a senior figure at Anthropic, the company which developed the tool, has told him “hackers will be licking their lips with anticipation of getting their hands on this model”.
