A veteran sports doctor has discussed the latest Clayton Oliver news.

The midfielder revealed in an interview he had been diagnosed with ADHD, which Dr Peter Larkins says could explain why Oliver may have had a medical incident.

“The bigger issue is there are many AFL players who have not publicised medical conditions, where they get permission to have certain medications simply because they represent the community,” he told Sam McClure.

He also discussed how mental health can impact players.

“You look at any given club, there are four to six players under a mental health program, often using medication which will be associated with their particular treatment,” he said.
