Claims made by Peter Marshall that the CFA is failing have been knocked back by Volunteer Fire Brigades VIctoria.

VFBV’s Chief Executive Andrew Ford says he doesn’t accept Peter’s figures and says people should be ‘wary’.

The CFA is heading back to court at the end of September.

Neil Mitchell spoke with Mr Ford, he asked if Daniel Andrews will be subpoenaed.

‘Neil, we are in the Supreme Court at the end of the month, so I’m not at liberty to talk about who we will or will not subpoena? I’d love to, but I’m not allowed.’

‘We are considering subpoenaing anyone who can shed light?’ ? he said on 3AW Mornings.

‘People should be very wary of Peter throwing this in the pot again.’

Mr Ford has told Neil Mitchell – ‘I think he’s trying to distract people from what’s on the plate at the moment.’
