Victim of burglary makes emotional plea to the community to keep belongings safe
The victim of a home burglary has made an emotional plea to the community, to keep their belongings safe.
A caller, Pooja, told Tom Elliott her home was broken into over the weekend.
‘We’ve lost everything Tom.’ she said.
Over $60,000 of precious Indian jewellery, with immense sentimental value was stolen.
The 24 carrot-gold necklaces, rings and Indian jewellery were handed down to Pooja on her wedding day, by her parents.
‘It’s happening everywhere…we are not feeling secure here…I want to send a message to the people, please secure yourselves…don’t keep your belongings or precious things at home’
Victoria Police are aware of the incident.
