Victoria gets a new Attorney-General as Dan Andrews reveals his 50-50 cabinet

Former Health Minister Jill Hennessy has been appointed Victoria’s new Attorney-General.

The former lawyer has taken over the high-profile job from Martin Pakula.

Mr Pakula remains Racing Minister, but will also take on Jobs, Ministry and Trade, as well as Tourism, Sports and Major Events.

Half of Daniel Andrews’s cabinet in female, the first time in the state’s history.
