Victoria officially scraps hotel quarantine for international arrivals
Victoria is officially scrapping quarantine for international arrivals from November.
But you’ll have to be fully vaccinated to avoid 14 days of isolation.
Daniel Andrews announced on Friday that the mandatory 14 days of isolation in hotels would end from November 1 for the fully vaccinated, after Victoria hits 80 per cent of the eligible population fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
There will also no longer be a cap on the number of arrivals.
Arrivals will have to test negative to COVID-19 no more than 72 hours before arriving here, and again get tested once they arrive.
Children under 12 travelling with fully vaccinated adults will be exempt from the rule and able to enter.
The Victorian government will recognise six COVID-19 vaccines.
- Pfizer (Comirnaty)
- AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria)
- Moderna (Spikevax)
- COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (Johnson and Johnson)
- Coronavac (Sinovac)
- Covidshield (AstraZeneca/Serum Institute of India)
