Victoria Police dismantle massive $10 million retail theft syndicate
Victoria Police detectives from the Box Hill Divisional Response Unit have dismantled a $10 million retail theft syndicate, arresting 19 people for their alleged involvement.
Victoria Police Senior Constable Adam West says the alleged offenders, who are predominantly Indian nationals on temporary visas, targeted major supermarket retailers, stealing “high-value” items.
“Baby formula, skincare products, vitamins, etc. They’ve then been passed on to others who have sold the product,” he said on 3AW Breakfast.
