Victoria Police making ‘no apologies’ for cracking down on repeat youth offenders
Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Neil Paterson says he’s making “no apologies” for the renewed effort to crack down on youth offenders.
From Monday, police will step up efforts to keep offenders accountable, knocking on doors and conducting checks at all hours of the day in order to keep the community safe.
“We make no apologies (for cracking down),” Mr Paterson told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Mornings.
“We may well be hounding (repeat offenders) in terms of their activities to try and break the cycle of offending to make the community safer.
“This is a focus on working with children and adults as well to disrupt the offending cycle.”
