Victoria Police suspends four officers over disturbing videos
Victoria Police has suspended four officers and assigned another to “alternative duties” following the release of several disturbing videos.
Members of the force have been accused of brutality.
In a statement, Victoria Police said it had;
- suspended three officers in relation to an incident that occurred at a private Preston residence in September, 2017.
- suspended one officer in relation to an incident at a Preston chemist in February, 2016.
- directed one officer be assigned “alternative duties” following an incident at Bendigo in March, 2015.
Police said they were only “interim actions” while the incidents were being investigated by IBAC.
