Victoria’s ‘fat cat’ bureaucrats to pocket pay rises

Victoria’s top ‘fat cats’ are in line for another round of hefty pay rises as the Andrews Government moves to keep top performers.

The state opposition has slammed the Premier, claiming he’s content to tax Victorian families of out existence.

The extra money comes on the top of the four per cent already announced, as the government moves to axe incentive-based contracts.

The new wave of pay increases comes on the back of the release a public sector commission report.

The Premier’s office isn’t saying how much extra public servants will get.

The Age, meanwhile, has published a long list of executive salaries ahead of Saturday’s council elections.

The Melbourne City Council CEO earns close to $460,000 a year, with Knox and Whittlesea councils paying even more.
