Victoria’s population grows by 110,000 in the last year
Melbourne is closing in on Sydney as the country’s biggest city.

Melbourne’s population had 173,000 fewer people than the harbour city last year.
With New South Wales’ population growing by only 1.4 per cent adding 106,000 residents.
Victoria’s population increased by 1.9 per cent, an extra 110,000 people.
