Victoria Walks CEO says 30k speed limits are ‘welcomed by majority’

The City of Yarra decision to expand 30 kilometre speed limits is wanted by the majority of people according to the CEO of Victoria Walks.

Dr Ben Rossiter has welcomed the move as a benefit to Victorian’s who want liveable and nicer neighbourhoods while reducing the impact of road trauma

“We know … from independent commissioned research, that the majority of Victorians want 30k around schools, busy shopping areas and we should also have them in dense suburbs and inner city suburbs and town centre,” Dr Rossiter told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
