Victorian Assistant Treasurer’s tearful reaction to toxic soil question

Victoria’s Assistant Treasurer has broken down in tears at a press conference in Ascot Vale.

Danny Pearson became emotional when questioned about the money spent investigating whether soil dug from the West Gate Tunnel was toxic.

It hit home for Mr Pearson, whose father-in-law “is dying because he worked on the Burnley Tunnel”.
