Victorian business owner shuts up shop after ‘sickening’ Commonwealth Games cancellation
A Victorian business owner who was left $100,000 out-of-pocket due to the cancellation of the 2026 Commonwealth Games has closed his business.
Director of Conference Communications, Simon Kemp, told Neil Mitchell he’s found the whole situation “sickening”.
“We’ll close the business,” he said. “It’s a horrible way to leave, but, you know, that’s it.”
