Victorian camel milk farm begins exports to Asia
The demand for camel milk is growing in Australia and internationally, with a Victorian company now entering the Asian market.
The Camel Milk Co. Australia is filling orders from Thailand, Singapore and China, with growing interest in its milk powders, soaps and hand creams.
Megan Williams says her farm, near Kyabram north of Melbourne, is home to 200 camels, who she says don’t fit the negative stereotypes you hear about the animals.
‘If you were to come to our farm and meet our camels, they don’t kick, spit and bite,’ Megan told 3AW News.
‘They just want to be hand fed and cuddled and have a scratch behind the ear.
‘Keeping their habitat, their paddocks clean, is the key to no smell.’
