Victorian government launches Transport For Victoria authority

A new over-arching body has been established to monitor Victoria’s transport infrastructure. 

But Neil Mitchell says it’s just another layer of bureaucracy.

The state government will unveil the ‘Transport For Victoria’ authority on Monday.

It will oversee PTV and VicRoads, as well as those behind projects like Melbourne Metro Rail.

‘Isn’t that what the minister should do?’ Neil Mitchell said.
