Victorian government plan to phase-out gas based on ‘flawed logic and misleading outcomes’

Victorians will be the victim of “unintended consequences” should the government ramp up plans to wean the state off gas and move to renewables as quickly as possible, the CEO of Rinnai has warned.

Greg Ellis told Tom Elliott a lot of what was being proposed was based on “flawed logic and misleading outcomes” that would ultimately see Victorians suffer.

“It’s going to precipitate the law of unintended consequences,” he said.
