Victorian government warned not to be complacent as NSW eyes Formula 1 Grand Prix
Australian Grand Prix boss Andrew Westacott has warned the Victorian government against complacency as NSW reportedly sets its sights on pinching the Formula 1 event from Melbourne.
“You’ve got to be proactive in the events space,” he told 3AW Breakfast on Friday.
“They (NSW) probably wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t sniffing around.”
But Ross Stevenson isn’t so sure.
He said Melbourne had one major advantage over the Harbour City when it comes to major events.
“People go to them in large numbers here,” he said.
