Victorian Greens gain unlikely ally in public transport push
The Victorian Greens want public transport to be free for a month to ease the cost of living on Victorians.
And it’s got the backing of the Liberal Party.
Sam Hibbins MP told 3AW it would cost $75 million, at the absolute “top end” of estimates.
“But given the current patronage rates are around 60 per cent, it’d probably be a fair bit less than that,” he said.
