Victorian opposition promises app to help drivers track down cheapest fuel

The Victorian opposition is promising to launch an app to help driver find the cheapest fuel in the state if elected in November.
Deputy Leader of the Victorian Liberal Party, David Southwick, says it’ll become critical after the fuel excise reduction ends on Thursday.
He says Victoria is “pretty much the only state that doesn’t have real-time pricing”.
Mr Southwick says retailers would be compelled to notify the app of price changes within 15 minutes, which people can view in real time.
“This is something NSW has been doing for six years,” he said.
