Four people have been killed on Victorian roads over the Queen’s Birthday weekend.

A driver was killed after his car rolled and hit a tree at Toolangi, north east of Melbourne.

His male passenger was left seriously injured.

A passer-by raised the alarm when they came across the crash on Sylvia Creek Road just after 7.30 on Sunday night.

A Hurstbridge man, 46, died at the scene.

Victoria’s shocking road toll continues to grow, with 134 people killed on the state’s roads in 2016.

It was 117 at the same point last year.
