Victorian schools evacuated following threatening phone calls
Hundreds of students across Victoria were evacuated on Friday after a number of primary and high schools received threats.
Victoria Police confirmed multiple schools had received threatening phone calls and said the evacuations were precautionary.
Schools placed in lockdown included Aitken Creek Primary in Craigieburn, Berwick Chase Primary and Cowes Primary.
A number of regional schools, including Sale Primary, were also evacuated.
All schools have since been declared safe, with students sent home.
A number of other schools across Australia had received similar threats in the past 24 hours and were also evacuated.
