Mayor of Swan Hill says the piped gas announcement was a ‘surprise’

At least ten Victorian towns are set to lose by piped gas by the end of 2026, due to the cost of the network becoming uneconomic.

Mayor of Swan Hill Rural Council Stuart King joined 3AW Mornings to discuss the impact of the loss of piped gas for these towns.

“The announcement was a surprise,” King said on 3AW Mornings.
