Victorians have received a robocall from a “local” farmer named Malcolm who says he’s concerned about “Matthew Guy and the Liberal’s plan to ‘turbo charge gas production’.”

Warrnambool man Peter alerted Neil Mitchell to the Labor-authorised message.

“I just found it astounding really,” he said of the message, which claims the Liberals have a “fracking plan”, despite Matthew Guy promising no fracking.

“I think it’s wrong, it’s misleading,” Peter said.

Calls from the “local” farmer are being made to people all over the state.

3AW listeners in Warrnambool, Point Lonsdale, Cape Paterson, Woolamai, Geelong and Phillip Island have all reported they’ve received a call from the “local” farmer.
