Victorians will not be told how much the government could pay to help keep Loy Yang A power station open until 2035.

Nine News reporter, Heidi Murphy, says the government could help keep the station open while its renewable energy replacement is completed.

“So we can be sure we’ve got power supply once it does close in 2035, we know it won’t pay for anything beyond that – the premier was clear on that today, but in terms of how much money we’re talking, what level those payments will kick in at, who knows.” she told Neil Mitchell.
