Victorians warned about soaring energy prices

Victorians are being warned about soaring energy prices this year.

Gary got in touch with Neil Mitchell on Friday, telling him he’d been told his yearly bill with Simply Energy was estimated to increase by $391 this year.

He said that was about a 20 per cent increase on 2021.

“I rung them up and they’ve assured me I’m on the best available offer,” he said.

Listeners Matt and Mike both got in touch straight after the interview, confirming they’d also been told to brace for significant price hikes.
