Victoria’s top cop hits back at claims state is ‘haven’ for outlaw motorcycle gangs
Victoria’s top cop has hit back at claims the state has become a “haven” for outlaw motorcycle gangs.
It comes after Victoria Police announced Taskforce Viper.
It’s been established on the back of shootings in Melbourne in recent weeks, the most prominent being the brazen daylight attack on former Mongols bikie Suleiman ‘Sam’ Abdulrahim.
Speaking on 3AW Drive, Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said one shooting was “one too many” and police had been strong on gun-related activity.
“We are concerned with any gun crime, whatsoever,” he said.
