VIDEO: Dolphins spotted in the Yarra near Church Street bridge

Two dolphins have been spotted frolicking in the Yarra River near Richmond this morning.

Jeff Weir from the Dolphin Research Institute says they’ve also been spotted in the Maribyrnong River in recent days.

“It’s more common to see the dolphins when there hasn’t been much rain because the salt wedge goes further up the Yarra, and the other fish go with that as well,” Jeff said.

“So the dolphins are really following food.”
