Shocking video from inside prison

Shocking video has emerged from inside a NSW prison.

The prisoner’s footage, posted to social media, shows drugs and weapons inside what’s meant to be a high-security jail in Parklea.

“This jail is ruining lives,” the inmate says.

Tony Jones spoke with Brett Collins from Justice Action, a prisoner rights advocacy group, who wasn’t surprised by the footage.

“To be quite fair, if you haven’t got a knife or access to a knife you’d be foolhardy,” he explained.
